A hot meal, a trusted adult, a place to keep warm. For some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK, youth services offer a vital lifeline.

But in the midst of the worst cost of living crisis since the 1950s, these safe spaces are under threat, with many centres and organisations struggling to survive.

We can’t afford to lose our youth services – and we need your help to support young people through the cost of living crisis.

The UK Youth Fund in partnership with Pears Foundation aims to ensure that as many vital youth services as possible are able to keep the lights on and support young people in their local community. If forced to shut down, these services may never return.

UK Youth is working in collaboration with our nation partners – Youth Scotland, Youth Cymru, Youth Action Northern Ireland.

Where will my donation go?

UK Youth is actively supporting young people and youth organisations through this crisis by:

Distributing funding directly to youth centres
Advocating for wider long-term investment
Delivering high quality youth work programmes focusing on priority issues such as mental health and employability
Equipping youth workers with training and networking
Creating opportunities for young people to have their voices heard

Your donation will not be restricted to any of the above. All donations are used where they are needed most and all will help our work supporting young people and youth organisations through the cost of living crisis.

The UK Youth Fund – Cost of Living

Youth organisations with an annual income of no more than £500,000 will be able to apply for the UK Youth Fund in partnership with Pears Foundation.

The fund will offer three-year unrestricted grants of approximately 10% of the current turnover of applicant organisations to reflect the current inflation rate and organisations will hear the outcome of their application within 4-6 weeks.
