Our annual report 2021/22 is now live!
In 2021/22, we directly supported tens of thousands of young people, partnered with hundreds of youth organisations, and distributed millions of pounds in grants – what an impactful year it’s been!
Having suffered an incredibly difficult time at school due to harassment, in addition to the troubles of being a young carer, the Dream It Real programme allowed me to have a form of respite every Friday…it reignited my passion and ambition to excel in my academic studies.”

We also enabled young people and youth workers to shape government policy through 28 roundtables, events, and meetings with politicians.

But none of this would have been possible without our hardworking staff, generous funders and of course the creativity and commitment of youth organisations! A huge thank you for everything you have done for young people over the last year.
However, we know the work does not end here. We know youth organisations and young people are facing many challenges including the lingering impact of the Covid pandemic, the Cost-of-Living crisis, the climate emergency and much more.
We also know that although we have made progress in the last year there is much we still need to work on. We are committed to improving and learning out loud, this includes being transparent about the areas which have been difficult. We hope these reflections may be useful for other organisations like yourselves too.
We’re committed to continuing to work towards #UnlockingYouthWork for ALL young people and providing more opportunities for young people to have their voices heard and to shape their futures.
